Friday was my Tree’s fifth year outside. A celebratory event was to take place. But alas Mother Nature did leave over a foot of snow on top of it. So we decided to post pone the events one day. This wasn’t going to happen. The image below shows the branches of the butterfly tree that my Tree is underneath. And the massive amount of icy snow that is currently covering the area. So… event rain check please! Good news is event documentation has been discussed. Event date to be determined.
Did U No? In 19 days my Tree will have been outside 4 yrs! Mother nature sure is slow at recycling! Celebration to commence soon.
Last Saturday afternoon I went to check on my Tree. Was it time to ‘put it down’ or was it staying strong? I would of bet on the first choice if I did not know my Tree and it’s inevitable staying power. Smaller, but still MIGHTY!
Went to visit my Tree on Christmas day and made a startling discovery. Why my Tree’s cement was showing! And now it is really at a severe angle. Will the 3 year outdoor celebration this February be the last? Will it be the end? Will my Tree make it to then? How do I feel about this? A remarkable journey through outdoor recycling. One that was thought to last 3 months at the most and has become an extension of 1 simple thought in 2006, “I’ll make a tree out of paper”.
Here are some pictures of the current state of my Tree.
