I’ve made and taught others how to make buildings out of one magazine page. Now I’ve tested out letting the students chose what they are interested and taught them different ways to make them stand. One participant said she was even going to show her family members how to make them. Success I say.

The new year started with me teaching again at Harbor UCLA for Elizabeth’s Canvas. I am still teaching Artist Trading Cards, but modified for out-patients while they are waiting to be called in to see doctors. It is a lot of fun. I never know who is going to be there and meet new children and parents each week. The age ranges so far have been from 1 1/2 to 24 years old. There is quite a variety of topics and work being created. I also keep branching out on materials. Last week we used stamps for the first time and they were a big hit. Good to know for the future. Here are some images from last week.
After several weeks of clearance I was finally able to began teaching my first class as an Art Therapist for Elizabeth’s Canvas at Harbor UCLA in Torrance, CA on October 30, 2014. I work in the children’s playroom for out-patient children. I have them create their own Artist Trading Card(s). Here are images from my first three classes. It was loads of fun and I look forward to working more with the children there.
