5 Years Outside

Friday, February 21, 2014 will be five years that my Tree will have been outside in northern New Jersey. Which at the moment is being pounded by Mother Nature. She is constantly dumping snow down upon it. But that is winter in the north-east.

This year I have a special plan for my Tree. It involves an idea that the backyard owner (where my Tree is) and my idea combined. I, like all of you will be attending the ceremony from a distance. As always there will be photographs and hopefully a video. There will be another move for my Tree and perhaps a digging out if it is covered by a foot or more of snow.

The life (yes it has taken on a life of its own) of my Tree will continue on and involve the USPS for delivery. Oops I let a little of the plan out! Yes this year marks the fifth anniversary outside and the eighth year of its existence, but it will be living on in more than images.

So until the celebratory post lets take a look back ….

Tree Day

The latest visit to my Tree further revealed it’s strength. Down, but not flat.

3 Years Outside!

My Tree has officially been outside for 3 years since February 21st! And it is holding up. The very bottom of the trunk is getting moist. I suspect this may be the first part to flatten. What do you think?

October 2011 Snow

There was a bit of a nor’easter yesterday. My Tree is located in a town with a lot of snow and is covered. But Mother Nature has an extra challenge in trying to tear down my Tree this coming winter. There is a butterfly bush covering the top of the trunk like  a large hand catching the snow. Below are some pictures.

1 Year 4 Months

Just added another video of my mighty Tree. Check it out on my Youtube channel. For those of you following along. We are getting close to the 3 year anniversary of my Tree being outside and it is still (mostly) standing. Although it now has a lean it doesn’t look too much different then it does in this video.
